CELTIC GOLD team meeting in Mannheim, 18 to 20 September 2019
After the past annual meetings took place in France, namely in Saint-Germain-en-Laye (2017) and in Orléans (2018), this year it was the turn of a meeting in Germany. Thus, all project members met from 18th to 20th of September at the Curt-Engelhorn-Zentrum Archäometrie gGmbH in Mannheim.
Since there is only one year left until the end of the project, many important topics had to be discussed. In addition to the planning of the last analysis sessions and many organizational tasks, we started planning our final publications.
Furthermore, we are happy to announce a final conference, which will take place from 17 to 19 September 2020 at the Landesmuseum Mainz! We will present the main findings of our project and we will put them into the context of current research from adjacent regions and periods. A call for papers will be published soon – also on this page, so check back regularly.
Despite this full schedule during this short time, we had an enjoyable meeting in a relaxed atmosphere. Actually, it was so interesting, that we even forgot to take pictures! 😊
